Commercial Description:
We dry-hop this American Style India Pale Ale with seven grains and four domestic hop varieties by adding dry whole hops to the finishing tank so the beer rests "on top" of the hops for five extra days! Malty sweetness up front with big cascade and glacier hops in the finish -- a wonderfully drinkable IPA!

Pours a transparent orange amber with a dense, frothy, well-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fairly fresh, green grapefruity hops and a touch of earthy pale toasted malt. Body starts fairly full with a decent citrusy grapefruity flavor and toasty earthy caramel malt. Very drinkable and well-balanced.

Pours a cloudy copper orange with a dense and frothy off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is medium sweet caramel and grapefruit and piney hops. Flavor is not as pronounced as the aroma but still bitter and a bit tannic. The beer still has a nice American IPA Hop and malt balance. Medium bodied, somewhat chewy texture. Finishes long and unfortunately tannic.

tap-st louis microfest. pours orange with a small soapy white head. earthy, green, piney nose. the glacier and cascade is definately evident with all the grassy notes here. not much malt to speak of here. some resinous hops in the finish that lasted for quite some time. body is medium with stiff and prickly carbonation. not a bad ipa from this local brewery. I will try again with a full sample here soon.

A nice low alcohol IPA. Nice malty backbone to balance the nice, aromatic and bitter hops. Nose is slighlty pine with some graperuit.

Pretty damn nice hoppy beer, an extra from theisti. Pours orange-copper with a small head and cannot see through the beer. Aroma is orange-heavy citrus with grapefruit hops, nicely fresh with a slight oily hop aspect. Taste is better melded citrus flavors (cannot pinpoint one type of citrus fruit) with light sweet cereal-hoppiness (weird nothing like it before, or maybe just a well intergrated malt and hops profile). FInishes medium bitter with a long grapefruit skin aftertaste.

On tap at the 2006 Best of the Midwest Brewers’ Festival. An excellent IPA. Tony was calling this the "5 Day IPA" on this festival day. Light amber with a serious and beautiful white head. Aroma has what I’m looking for: hoppy citrus of grapefruit and pine. Even a touch of fruity flowery sweetness. The body has a medium malt palate that supports the generous hops. This won’t win any hopheads over, but it is a fine drinker all on its own.

Pours turbid deep orangy coppery with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is bready malt, hops, orange marmalade, and some earthy and funky hints. Tastes bready caramel malty, with hops and some peaty, earthy, funky undercurrents. Not too shabby at all.

Bottle with Zinister, courtesy of theisti. Smells of apricot, peach , and grapefruit. Pours solid cheddar. Flavor is light grapefruit and apricot. Full, coating mouthfeel. Nice IPA.
