Nose is bready malt, hops, orange marmalade, and some earthy and funky hints. Tastes bready caramel malty, with hops and some peaty, earthy, funky undercurrents. Not too shabby at all. csbosox (1084), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA

Copper colored with a small, but persistent head. Hazy. Piney, earthy, flowery, mild citrus aroma as well as some malty sweetness. Initial flavor is flowery, pungent, light citrus, and grassy hops and malty, caramelly sweetness followed by some herbal, earthy flavors and a moderate bitterness. The finish is lingering bitterness and flowery, earthy, grapefruit hops goodness. Not a bad AmIPA, very drinkable. RAYBOY01 (1869), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Big robust PNW hop nose...citrus and pine mainly, The pour is classically attractive...orange/copper with a very fluffy off-white head that lingers quite a long time. The flavors are big caramel/toffee malts...sweet and mellow with the PNW hop character providing the bright highlights of grapefruit and pine resin. This is a very, very nice effort and one of my new favorite session ales. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2007 Great IPA from O’Fallon. Very nice aroma of hops and citrus, and nice transparent copper color. This pale ale has the classic grapefruit aroma and flavor, which for me has become the keystone for a good American-style pale ale. Palate was a bit weak, maybe a bit too much carbonation or something.
Overall, I highly recommend this one as things warm up this year. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear pumpkin orange color. Head was off white, tall, and reduced over a few minutes to a sticky film. Some nice lace remained at the end. Attractive aroma of grapefruit, crushed pine needles, caramel, and a hint of pineapple. Moderate hop bitterness throughout which peaked at the beginning at about 6 out of 10. The malt and hops were well balanced without one standing out over the other. I tasted mostly sprucy hops and caramel. Solid IPA. topherh (940), Kearney, Missouri, USA

Hazy, light brown orange body with a quick off-white foam. Light floral fruity flavour has a sweet aftertaste. Medium body is a little bitter. Fairly interesting brew.
