I want to preface this rating by saying that this beer seems to accomplish what it set out to do in a very familiar way: this beer is those Chocolate-covered Cherry Cordials in a bottle... nuff said twindadplus2 (413), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Hazy, pale brown color with a firm, good sized head that thinned out nicely to release the aroma.Aroma of milk chocolate and tart cherries with a touch of wheat spice. Flavor is creamy chocolate malt and fruity sweetness. Full bodied and creamy with soft carbonation and a quick, slightly bitter finish. It’s a bit gimmicky but I found myself liking this beer. zombywoof (358), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 19, 2009 Strong aroma of chocolate and a hint of cherry cordial. Kind of watery though and the cherry comes across as artificial and candy like. Hard to want to have a second one. Weak finish. I’m a fan of O’Fallon’s brews especially their Blackberry Scottish Ale and Smoked Porter but a beer that tastes like it was brewed by Whitman Samplers is just not my thing. jstraw (759), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Light, murky brown with a weak, fizzy beige head / Big nose of cherry chocolate bon bons / Light body, just a touch of sweetness, fizzy carbonation and slightly watery, with fair finish / Restrained, but somewhat artificial candy-like flavors of milk chocolate and cherry syrup / Pleasant, but closer to a soda pop than a beer. phaleslu (469), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 12, 2009 12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a cloudy brown color with a lot of floating sediments and a small beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate and maraschino cherries, like a chocolate covered cherry from a Russel Stover box with a bite taken out of it. The flavor is a weaker version of the nose, with some nuttiness. The problem with this one is that it has such an artificial quality to it; other beers have used chocolate and cherries much more naturally. Light-medium bodied and sweet, with a grainy mouthfeel. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear light brown with a medium tan head. Sweet cherry aroma with a bit of chocolate. Chocolate comes out first in the flavor, followed by a cherry sweetness and a nutty finish. Not subtle on the sweetness, like a chocolate covered cherry. Still drinkable though. guyinchicago (526), marengo, Illinois, USA
