JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Nov 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear light brown with a medium tan head. Sweet cherry aroma with a bit of chocolate. Chocolate comes out first in the flavor, followed by a cherry sweetness and a nutty finish. Not subtle on the sweetness, like a chocolate covered cherry. Still drinkable though. guyinchicago (516), marengo, Illinois, USA Sep 19, 2009 Poured brown with reddish hue and tan head aromas of chocolate covered cherries taste is of the same don’t bother sounds much better than it is Rynoplasty (500), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Sep 13, 2009 Pours very dark brown with a big off white head that subsides quickly, smell is chocolate and cherry, like a cherry cordial. Flavor is lots of chocolate, with hints of cherry. It’s ok. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2009 I’m surprised (and disappointed) that a professional brewer would market this. The chocolate is fake and disgusting, the head is much too large, and the aroma is of cheap/fake chocolate and alcohol. Not good! madvike (301), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 1, 2009 Bottle - Well, if I ever wondered what beer they serve in hell, now I know. It looks pretty good, pouring a deep amber with a creamy white head, but then it just goes downhill from there. Everything about this beer is artificial, from the stale chocolate, bubble gum, and cherry syrup smell to the the taste. Oh, the taste [shudders]. I can hear the devil laughing at me as I drink this. It tastes like those horrid chocolate covered cherries that come out around the holidays. Except one of those cherries that’s been sitting around since the seventies. The goopy crap inside is all hard now, and it’s gone stale and bitter. I poured the last half of this down the drain. I hope it made it all the way to hell. MrPickles (108), Wisconsin, USA Jul 27, 2009 Updated: Aug 1, 2009Dark, amber/caramel color. Smell of chocolate, bread, malt and cherries. First taste seems ok, but it has almost a soda quality. Candy cherries, chocolate, and a surprise of a light smokey charcoal. I can taste the chocolate, cherries, and some malt, but it all seem artificial. It goes from sweet to bitter. It leaves a finish of a poor chocolate that seems to linger too long. The more you get into the bottle, the more it seems watered down and the less you want any more. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Jul 13, 2009 Bottle shared by Joey Gymnasium. Pours a black body with a fizzy soda 2 finger head. Light cherry and chocolate, thin and session able a hint of paper but not in a destructive way. Decent. jrallen34 (123), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 3, 2009 I drank from a 12 oz bottle in chalice.
I didn’t have high expecations for this beer but was pleastantly suprised.
It has red brown color but on real head.
It smells strongly of cherries and tastes just like a chocolate covered cherry. I very decent beer.
