| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 31, 2006 Pours light brown with a tan head. There is a faint aroma with watery chocolate and a Luden’s candy cough drop cherry. Medium / thin body with quite a bit of carbonation. The taste starts fairly astringent with maltiness with light chocolate notes and a fruity-like sweetness. The finish is sour and sharp. They really need to stop making this. There might be someone that likes this, but I can imagine that happening. Hollywoodt (174), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Poured a dark reddish brown with an off-white head. The aroma was as advertised... chocolate and just a hint of sweet cherry. The flavor had a little cocoa thrown in, as well. It wasn’t too bad... just a little thin. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 8, 2006 Bottle: Definitely a strong chocolate syrup and tootsie roll aroma. There is some faint cherry in the aroma, but it’s pretty much dominated by the chocolate. It pours a transparent orangish-brown with a minimal off-white head that quickly fades to a ring. The flavor starts with moderate cocoa powder and light sugary sweetness. The finish has some light cherry candy notes with some tootsie rolls and some hints of tanginess that may come from the wheat. The aftertaste is the same as if you had just ate a tootsie roll. The mouthfeel is a little thin and at times a tad fizzy. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2006 Dark red/brown color with a thin head. Dry chocolate aroma, kind of like a tootsie roll. What the heck is the taste? Dry chocolate and cherry, but very mucked up together and they seem to be more of a hinderence to full flavor than adding anything to the beer. footbalm (1219), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

sweet syrupy nose. This just flat out smells way to sweet for a beer. Nice for a candy bar with the chocolate but not for a beer. This is very thin. JK (2964), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 2, 2006 I imagined their smoked porter with cherry and chocolate. This beer has a much lighter body. It is light brown and there is no sediment. The aroma is good, it smells like chocolate covered cherries. Flavor does have real chocolate flavor like that recent Michelob beer. It should be darker and thicker. They should have been aiming for something like a Bells Cherry Stout. xav33 (313), Midland, MI, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2006 O’Fallon Cherry Chocolate Ale
12 oz bottle
Medium pour in a goblet
Bottled circa Nov. 1st, bitten into 11/06
Poured a clear dark brown with an average beige fizzy quickly diminishing head.
Smelt of moderate chocolate and cherry, with traces of grain.
Taste was upfront moderate sweet chocolate covered cherry followed by a light bitter grain bite on a short to average length finish. Palate was light bodied, watery, fizzy.
Overall, a charming little light beer in that it tastes exactly like a chocolate covered cherry, but could use more weight and complexity. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 29, 2006 its quite easy to guess what this beer would be like...pours reddish brown with medium white head..aroma and flavor are one in the same (similar to a Brachs chocolate covered cherry)...its hard to slam a beer for accomplishing exactly what it intends on being, but oh well...nothing to rave about...id rather have the real deal
