Hazy deep copper. Bubblegum and artificial cherry aroma, cola note. Chocolate (intense!) is first thing I taste, some cherry nibs and more chocolate late. I dont get any of the wheat yeast character I got from the aroma. That could be due to the intense chocolate flavor. A little messy, but somehow moderately enjoyable. A bit of a guilty pleasure, perhaps.

Amber in color going towards brown with a thin, tan head. Aroma of rubberbands (phenolic) with some milk chocolate and fruitiness in the background. Flavor is chocolatey, almost no fruit with the fruit only in the background and some rubberband.

As advertised, it tastes like a chocolate covered cherry... but I’m not sure I like that in a beer. The aroma is bittersweet chocolate with only a hint of the cherry. Looks nice, a golden brown with reddish highlights and a fizzy off-white head, but that doesn’t make up for the artificial flavors added to this wheat ale.

Pours out a soda looking light brown with little fizzy head. Aroma of course cherry and chocolate, but not really pleasent. Mouthfeel is big on bubbles, a funky sourness to tag along with a cheap elementary school valentine day style chocolate taste. Mostly pure ick here.

Not sure what to make of the aroma. I definitely smell cherry and I definitely smell chocolate, but I also smell baby puke, or is it glue? Every whiff I get something slightly different. Sometimes great sometimes not. Definitely some sweetness in the nose which is contrary to other cherry beers I’ve had which usually have a sourness. There is also some discernable alcohol and it settles into a discernable chocolate covered cherry aroma. Pours a dark amber with a pretty decent sized off-white head that quickly falls back to a large ring around the inside perimeter of the glass. A couple of large chunks visible in the body, but otherwise mostly hazy-clear. Initial mouthfeel is a little thin, but upon further review, actually pretty well made. I really don’t understand the poor ratings. I have sat on my bottle since mid-June, but since O’Fallon doesn’t bottle date, I have no idea how old it is. Perhaps it improves with age? I mean, hell, it won best overall beer at the Intl’ beer fest in Springfield, MO! When I read a review like the one from austinpowers, I figure we can’t be drinking the same beer. Perhaps there are some quality control issues. Really not a bad beer at all.

12oz bottle via trade with beerhandy - Thanks Chris! - Pours a ruby brown but light colored. A small offwhite head settles back to about 1/4 inch then hangs around and laces slightly. Aroma is a chocolate covered cherry. Flavor is much of the same but light. Carbonation is there but more like flat soda. This is thin. If it were a little thicker and creamier this would be a winner for sure but as it is it is just another average fruit beer. Definitely unique though. I’m not sure there are many out there like this one.

Thanks to the wonderful RBerian who sent me this. Smells exactly as the name suggests. Looks like off brand cola when poured with a big head that fades fast. Taste a little soda-like and the chocolate and cherry flavors are there, but the liquid is thin and it ruins the flavors because those flavors should feel creamy not watery.

This actually smells like the name states. Granted, it smells like cheapo department store chocolates with a hint ot cherries, but chocolate and cherries nonetheless. Now, I poured this without really watching it end, so I got a good deal of yeast in the end. This resulted in a few drops full of yeast, which are currently cascarding down towards the bottom of the glass like debris after an explosion, but very slowly. Flavor is really bad cheap chocolate flavor, lightly carbonated and a little bit of malt. This really isnt good. I better was this with was this down with an Our Special Ale 2003.
