The nose is funky and off with a light wheat and sour corn note, vaguely any fruit or chocolate. The flavor is more into the cherry, with some of the dark extracts. Meh, kinda lame. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 18, 2007 Had this beer on 7/5/2005. Aroma is sweet with faint tones of chocolate that reminds me of paint. Color is a nice golden brown with very good carbonation and thick tight head. Taste is smooth and sweet. Starting with a light body that goes down with a creamy feel. Finish comes on with a sweet flavor that has a chocolate like taste with faint back tones of cheery. This may be the creamiest beer I have ever had. The only down fall is that the chocolate flavor comes across a bit fake, reminds me a little of a yohoo. They didn’t have this when I toured the brewery this summer, but here it is in the store again. Light muddy brown color. Milk chocolate scent. Taste is chocolatey as advertised. I lose a little bit of the cherry. Interesting that they played this on a wheat beer base. Keeps the texture lighter than some chocolate stout. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2007 9/07/2007: O’Fallon Cherry Chocolate Ale pours kind of a golden amber color and is clear with a beige crown. The beer smells like a dark chocolate-covered cherry and tastes like a milk chocolate-covered cherry. Actually this beer tastes a lot like a cherry-flavored Tootsie Roll pop. The flavors are sugary but well-balanced as they don’t overpower this beer (although I would have preferred this beer a bit more if it had a porter or stout base to it - even the wife agrees!). This beer has a medium-light body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Good, but not great...
12 fluid ounce bottle from the Party Source. Rating #108 for this beer... kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

clear dark ruby red, thin beige head, rich chocolate cover cherry aroma like the candy, rich chocolate flavor with a great candy cherry character, matches the aroma and the candy very well, just enough beer character to keep it in the beer family, the best you could hope from a cherry chocolate beer,

They had a bunch of O’Fallon on sale and this was just one of them. It is a nice and easy sweet beer, with a touch of malt. Nothing special though. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Medium-dark brown color - a little murky with almost no head, with aroma of cocoa, cherry, dark chocolate and brown sugar. Very sweet flavor - a little sticky and cloying. Reminded me of chocolate flavored Tootsie Pop, which isnt really what I want my beer to be. HopHeadinAZ (120), USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Pours a dark brown with little to no head. Artificial chocolate drives the aroma. The flavor is again dominated again by chocolate. As someone else said before, Tootsie Rolls. The palate is very light and watery. A strange brew indeed.
