Pours a brownish color with a half-inch fizzy head that dies down to nothing in short order. Aromas are--predictably--of chocolate and cherries, but have a surprise of a smokey, charcoal and peat note that seems a little out of place. Tastes about like it smells... Charcoal peat up front which then gives way to a slowly sweetening chocolate covered cherry finish. Different and not as horrible as I expected. Jwasciuk (194), Lowell, Michigan, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Pours dark brown with a rocku off-white head. Aroma is of cookies, chocolate, cherry, mildew and alcohol. Flavor is exactly what you would expect. Light to medium bodied watery, softly carbonated. It is what it is. kseecs16 (907), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 5, 2007 Sampled at a wine & beer tasting in Plainfield, IL. A little fizzy unattractive cloudy light copper in color. Nose is a bit of cherry and chocalatey malt. A bit thin with a nice chocolate flavor dominating, but the cherry aspect comes in amost as if a terrible afterthought muddling an otherwise decent, if nothing special, brew. mynameisjonas (206), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 17, 2007 Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Cloudy amber color. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Slight cherry nose. Starts as sweet chocolate with the cherry flavor later, chocolate finish. Interesting to try once. $1.49 for a 12oz bottle from John’s Grocery Iowa City, IA. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Clear copper brown beer with a thin filmy head of foam. Okay lacing. Fragrant aroma is just like Brach’s chocolate covered cherries.
Taste is like Brach’s chocolate covered cherries too. And little else. Light body, mild carbonation. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 13, 2007 12oz bottle. Slightly hazy with a dark ruby garnet hue. Bone white head. Strong cherry aroma with notes of sweet milk chocolate and grainy wheat. The base beer is grainy cereal and smooth. Flavors of sweet sugary cherries and milk chocolate. Nice toasty flavor. Total dessert beer. Light to medium bodied. Yeash, one is enough. Nice to try, but won’t be going back. Although it does have a nice cocoa note and a nice fruity essence. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 31, 2006 Pours light brown with a tan head. There is a faint aroma with watery chocolate and a Luden’s candy cough drop cherry. Medium / thin body with quite a bit of carbonation. The taste starts fairly astringent with maltiness with light chocolate notes and a fruity-like sweetness. The finish is sour and sharp. They really need to stop making this. There might be someone that likes this, but I can imagine that happening.
