clear dark ruby red, thin beige head, rich chocolate cover cherry aroma like the candy, rich chocolate flavor with a great candy cherry character, matches the aroma and the candy very well, just enough beer character to keep it in the beer family, the best you could hope from a cherry chocolate beer,

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2005 Bottle acquired in trade with beerhandy. Poured a medium, hazy, reddish brown color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate covered cherries (who would have guessed?). Tastes of the same. Just like my grandfathers favorite chocolate covered cherry candy. Weaker and thin body. Interesting. bu11zeye (5564), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 23, 2004 Updated: Aug 27, 2004(Bottle) Pours a light brown body with an off-white head that dispates quickly. Smells like opening a cheap box of chocolate covered cherries that are sold during the Christmas holiday season. Taste of cheap chocolate and canned cherry pie filling. Not an enjoyable flavor for a beer. CaptainCougar (5517), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2005 Pours a dark orange copper with a thin fizzy off-white head. Aroma has a nice milk chocolatey character and a touch of cherry-like tartness. Body is somewhat thin and over-carbonated but has decent flavor and sort of does taste like a chocolate covered cherry as they advertised. Cherry flavor could be more pronounced, but it has a nice wheaty sweetness. Yeah, it’s a little weird that it’s a chocolate beer that isn’t a stout or porter, but I don’t think it’s as bad as the ratings suggest on here. Thanks to Dough77 for the bottle! ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 5, 2005 This brewery is weird. First they put out a peppermint beer, and now this thing. It smells like artificial cherry flavoring with some weird chocolate scent as well… like candy… like some industrial product meant to smell like chocolate… remember those scratch-n-sniff stickers? That stuff. It’s clear dark red color confuses me… when I drink something chocolate, I expect it to be at least a little thick, but ALWAYS brown. This beats out Yoo-Hoo for the title of “thinnest body for a chocolate drink ever” title. Honestly, my brain is having a hard time with this beer being chocolate flavored but being the color of rust. Fizzy palate, god-awful weird flavor of some bad Dollar Store Halloween candy. This is a hell of an experiment, but no doubt an experiment gone wrong. Hey, at least there’s a brewery with enough balls (or not enough brains) to bottle and sell this stuff, let alone make it in the first place. Cornfield (4956), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 5, 2005 As advertised, it tastes like a chocolate covered cherry... but I’m not sure I like that in a beer. The aroma is bittersweet chocolate with only a hint of the cherry. Looks nice, a golden brown with reddish highlights and a fizzy off-white head, but that doesn’t make up for the artificial flavors added to this wheat ale.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 14, 2005 Much light in color than I was expecting. A cloudy umber color with a diminished beige head. Certainly smells like a chocolate covered cherry to me. Not that I am a big fan of them, but I can appreciate the scent. There does seem to be a touch of mold that distracts slightly. Light sweet malt flavor has some presence throughout the quaff. Really not that bad. The chocolate and cherry is there, but it does seem somewhat un-natural. Of course, so does a chocolate covered cherry. Have not really wanted to try this, but I did find a single. Not a great big fan of the brew, but if you like chocolate covered cherries, you certainly should enjoy this one. BückDich (4851), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Bottle: Amber color, light white head. The nose is funky and off with a light wheat and sour corn note, vaguely any fruit or chocolate. The flavor is more into the cherry, with some of the dark extracts. Meh, kinda lame.
