Aroma is massively sweet, brown sugar, maple syrup notes, and a sligh, peaty smoke note. Flavor is big, initially very sweet, malty to the point of being hot, caramel, toffee, lemon, yeasty notes, nuttiness, and a very bitter, toasty finish. Not at all sweet, but finely balanced. Bravo! A different tatste to it, but not in a bad way. I especially like it, but not for everoyne. esjaygee (1581), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Pour is a nice dark red with a average tan head. Aroma is a very nice caramel with some roasted malts and a deffinate alcohol aroma. Flavor is malty, malty and malty! 8 different malts use in this one and they really come to the forefront. True to the style with low hop bitterness and a nice creamy finish. Decent bock with plenty of flavor and aroma. Cybercat (821), Georgia, USA

The flavor also has hints of prune and a suggestion of bitterness. This beer has a clear, deep honey to amber color with small but stagnant beige/ivory head. The body of this beer is actually a bit more than I expected (medium to medium-full), but it worked will with the flavor characteristics of the beer. Surprisingly, this was a pretty good Bock Ale that I wouldn’t pass up given that chance to have another.
12 fl. oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Thanks Tom. Not too bad with the cigar. Just enough malt to make the pairing work! Rating #50 for this beer...
