Grass and light pale malt aromas. Very dry and chalky feel. Light grain and pale malt flavors. Not much to this one. 1FastSTi (2569), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2005 Thanks to whomever brought this. It pours to a golden body with a thin oil slick head. Spotty lacing. The aroma is grainy and pale hops. The flavor is corn and fresh grains. Tart. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 15, 2005 Totally transparent gold with little to no movement. Starch and honey nectar in the aroma, followed up with corn husks . Sweet pils twang up front backdoored by a whole wheat bun flavor component. Some sort of vinous viscosity that dissipates like watered down corn syrup. Musky, staunchy and a little raunchy. Thanks to heemer for bringing this along. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 15, 2005 gold in color w/ a small quickly gone white head that left some lacing behind. Had a nutty malty aroma with hints of alcohol. The palate was light and lightly carbonated. Flavor of sweet carmel and some light candied fruits. A very mild flavor. Ok beer.
Thanks to John for sharing. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2005 The color is a darker and clear gold. Aroma of biscuit and mild apples. There is also some rich allspice here. The taste is rich and bready with some light pears and some very light clove. Smooth and refreshing. Makes a great session brew. More US brewers should make golden ales. thegreenrooster (1841), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 6, 2004 Pours is a very nice dark yellow with a small head. Aroma is terrible in mine, kind of a burning smell. Flavor is not much better. Kind of a burnt grain taste. This must be a bad or old batch. Will leave this rating for now and will have to try again. This can be that bad. A smooth taste that laste more than most microbrew beers. The hops doesn’t over power the grain and the carbonations is pleasing to the experience.
