| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Dec 12, 2004 Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is murky dark brown, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), with a strong note of peppermint, light note of nutmeg. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. FInish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Oh ye gods...it’s like drinking mouthwash...gotta be peppermint. It might help slightly if I liked peppermint, but I don’t, and it’s STRONG here. Like a glass full of candy canes. Arrrrggh. Sorry, just can’t handle this one at all, I mean...a menthol beer would be just as disturbing. Ewww, damn. Make it go away. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2004 Nice spicy, piney aroma. Not much head, color is a very very dark red, quite nice. Palate is sweet and full. Spicy and very minty on the tongue, but not overdone and very drinkable. A beefed up heartier version of this would rock. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

A very very dark brown body with a little cloudiness. Aroma is bread, ginger, celery and cinnamon. Tastes are nutmeg, ginger and a very thick bread. Sethdude is correct, there is also mint in the finish. Refreshing. Mouthfeel is creamy and full. A nice treat for the winter. Thanks sethdude for the delivery! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 2, 2004 Chestnut color with a smallish beige head. Mint and roasted malt aromas. Nothing overpowering, nicely blended. Roasted malts with a touch of peppermint in flavor. Finish is more to the malty side with a mild black malt bite. Rather simple in feel. Nothing here that is offensive or overpowering, even though I did pick this one up with some trepidation. I would call it a mint brown porter. lizzy (44), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 21, 2004 O’Fallon Brewery always amazes me with their unique flavor combinations, because they are so good! Pours a dark brown with thin white lacing on top. Smells sweet, roasty, malty, and very minty. Flavor is identical to aroma. I never wold have thought to mix beer and mint, but it actually works pretty well. This is a seasonal that I hope they continue to make every year. sethdude (604), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 21, 2004 Hats off to O’Fallon for another very unique beer. This one pours a rich, hazy brown with a white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, a little toast, and a bit of mintiness. Flavor is brown ale base, with a decent malt profile, though a little weak, and some tasty natural mint flavor. Anybody who thinks mint and beer may not go well togather needs to try some, it’s a great combination!
