This had the makings of a solid pumpkin ale. Poured with a beautiful shining amber color and white head. Smelled strongly of cinnamon and nutmeg. The flavor proved to have too much cinnamon, almost gingerbread man-like. A little too much spice kept the maltiness from coming through. Not the best pumpkin beer I’ve had

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with MrRain. Pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head that disappeared after a few sips. Pleasant aroma of pumpkin, malt, and very light cinnamon. More malt than pumpkin in the flavor with the pie spices barely noticeable. A bit of hops bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel was a bit thin, bordering on watery.

Bottle courtesy of tjthresh. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of cinnamon, dough, oranges and ginger. Taste is moderately tangy and slightly like a cider at first. Lemons and pumpkin emerge as the beer warms. Finishes with hints of tea and lemons.

Great nose of malt and pumpkin spice. It pours a golden amber with a small head that dissipates quickly. I get malt and a very slight touch of hops up front on the palate followed by the pumpkin mash and spices on the finish. I wish there was a bit more spice here. Pretty refreshing though. It hits the spot this time of year.

12oz bottle. Good nose with pumpkin pie and fruity spice. Medium-dark orange amber hue with small head that fully diminished. Good spicy nutmeg flavor. Not bad and the best of the pumpkin plague I’ve had this season.

Bottle. Sweet, fruity, allspice. Some nutmeg, but less nutmeggy than New Belgium Ichabod or Arcadia Jaw-Jacker. Hazy dark amber with no visible carbonation. Ring of off-white head. No lace. A bit doughy. Less outright spicy than those other 2 brews. Not bad, really, but O’Fallon still has not proven to me that they’re anything more than an average brewer. Serviceable and drinkable pumpkin brew.

Bottle compliments of Oades Big Ten. Love the Aroma. Smells like fall really. Nice spicy pumpkin smell. Pours to a nice amber color but seems too thin. Good pumpkin flavor. The cinnamon and nutmeg is easily discernible. However came to the conclusion that if you take out the pumpkin flavor the overall flavor would be very weak. The palate isn’t as smooth as it could be. Lacking body is a great way of putting it.

Bottle, Oades Big Ten, Lansing. Poors a nice red/orange or caramel brown color, akin to a pumpkin pie, and is slightly hazy though certainly translucent. Head is light orange, but minimal and dissipates quickly. Smell is immediately of pumpkin pie - spices like cinnamon, clove and nutmeg most prominent, but definite scent of pumpkin as well. Palate is light and rather carbonated, but aside from the tingle, it drinks quite smooth, almost creamy. Initial taste is medium sweet, and has the hint of pumpkin and spices, but these flavors come to the forefront during the after taste. Delicious blend of spices give it a sweet - but not overly so - fall taste to it. Certainly a delicious Fall brew, and one of the better brews overall.
