Aroma of cinnamon and cloves is about medium with some light pumpkin. Taste of cinnamon and cloves dominated the taste and was well balance with some light pumpkin. Light body with some good carbonation. Overall, I thought this was a well done pumpkin beer but probably not up to par with the Weyerbacher one which I still think is the best of the style. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2007 Bottle (12oz). Clear bubbly pale copper, average frothy white head. Vegetal pumpkin and sharp pumpkin spices - the vegetal malt softens quickly and it’s really very pleasantly spiced - totally like a pumpkin pie (no whipped cream). It tastes even more like pumpkin pie, I actually DO get a hint of whipped cream in the taste - it’s very spicy but man, it’s so sweet (like sweetened canned pumpkin mix) that it’s almost cloying in the finish. Very lively, if wan, body, sharp on the palate and a sweet thick spiced aftertaste. Pretty damned good, actually - especially since it’s been in my fridge since October! mynameisjonas (206), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 22, 2007 Pours a fairly clear copper orange with two fingers of creamy nearly white foam. Okay head retention and lacing. Pumpkin and spice in the aroma. A bit like a good pie.
Sweet pumpkin and dry spice ( the label says cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove ). I would pick out the nutmeg for sure. You can convince me that there is cinnamon in there. I taste no clove - and this is a good thing - I don’t care much for clove. Smooth mouthfeel, not quite silky, but nice nevertheless. Gentle carbonation. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Strong cinnamon and nutmeg aroma. Medium bodied with a good spice flavor. Great base beer. Sweet malts and crisp hop flavors. Nice flavor. One of my favorite pumpkins. Solid local brew with a spicy cloying finish. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2006 Bottle: Clear copper color, with a small white head. Aroma, pumpkin, and those pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon and nutmeg. With maybe a hint of allspice. Flavor, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, some pale malts, a bit of brown sugar. Pretty decent. bierfueralle (6), USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 6, 2006 Bottle-I was turned onto pumpkin ales by the Blue Moon, but this was much better. Smelled distinctly of pumpkin. Maybe it was just me, but it looked orange too. Tasted of spice--nutmeg, some cinnamon I guess--a little flat but still pleasant. At least worth trying if you’re into pumpkin beer. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 2, 2006 Strong spice presence in the aroma, tons of nutmeg and clove, not overbearing at all though. Pumkin beer flavor=nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, very faint pumpkin everything you would expect. Little suprised at this overall though. Yeah it’s pretty standard across the board, but not really 3.1/3.2 bad.
