Aroma of nutmeg, light pumpkin, a little butteryness, and some cinnamon--not all in that particular order. Taste is the same with some very minor bitterness, but not really a lot of sweetness, either. Light body, lighter carbonation. Nothing wrong with this--nothing great about it either. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Color is clear, orangy amber. Generous carbonation, fizzy. No head or crown of any kind. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice (clove) and light malt. Flavor has pumpkin, pie spice (cinnamon, ginger), and alcohol. Somewhat watery. Okay, but not great.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2006 12 oz bottle pours a copper color with a tan head. Aromas are nice malty, pumpkin, cinamon, brown sugar and nutmeg. The flavor is genuinely pumpkin tasting like it smells with some clove spice lingering on the tongue. I haven’t had a ton of pumpkin beers, but this one tastes the most purely pumpkin with out tasting fake, and still enjoyable. SubstanceT (1090), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Bottle<!-- p --> Clear yellowish orange, nose has pretty good hops and faint malts with pumpkin. Taste is more pumpkin than the so-called pumpkin spice found in other pumpkin beers out there. For example, when comparing this beer to Buffalo Bills I find this much easier to drink as a beer and overall much more enjoyable. walleye (882), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2006 from the bottle. poured a dark honey with no head. aroma, those nice pumkin pie spies of cinnamon, nutmeg, and gloves with a side of brown sugar, some hops. where is the whip cream? flavor not as robust as I was hoping for had a hard time pulling the flavors out , did get a little of the pumpkin and just hint of the spices. onther than that it was a easy drinking beer. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Pours copper with a beige head that disappears very quick. Aroma is veggie / squash with some cinnamonh. Medium / light body with a small amount of carbonation. Starts with squash, not a distinct pumpkin. There is also cinnamon spice with a minor in clove and nutmeg. Finish is spicier with the cloves showing up more. An okay beer, above average for a pumpkin ale. jimvy (131), O’Fallon, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2006 2006 Vintage, bottle. Aroma is dominated by pumpkin pie spices but you can also get some of the pumpkin/squash like aroma. Light copper color, hazy, with a thin white head. Flavor is dominated by the spices...cinnamon is really prominent. After a few drinks you get used to the spicing and can start tasting more of the pumpkin, but it’s not nearly as well balanced as the last couple of years. Body is medium with a long lasting finish. Overall, one of my favorite pumpkin beers, but I’m not quite as happy as I’ve been in prior years. Still good though. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
