Sedimented bottle. Fruity and spicy aroma with clear nutmeg, clove, pumpkin, and cinnamon. Light aroma of yeast and orange rind as well. Very heavily spiced flavor, with cinnamon and cloves most prevelant. Generally very sweet with pumpkin showing thru on the finish. Medium bodied with very fizzy carbonation on the tongue. Overall, a little too sweet and highly spiced, tiring the palate by the end of the bottle. Main problem with this is that I don’t think that they started out with a good base beer to begin with. You can’t dress up a weak thin beer with some spices and get an awesome product. Dongster (15), DeKalb, Illinois, USA

Pumpkin Spice Aroma: Nutmeg and Cloves Notably...Some Sweet Malt Flavor, Light Pumpkin Spice..Taste Drops Off At End for a Dry Light Finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2005 I suggest that SpringsLicker try this beer in a hot tub during a Nebraska snow shower. I found that to enhance the beer drinking experience. My favorite thing about this beer was the strong aroma of cinnamon and cloves. The pumpkin flavor is strong up front and not masked by the spices. The finishing sweetness is well balance with the emerging spices at the end. Tony the brewer told me that he brews up a "tea" of spices and adds that to the finishing tank. He uses the canned Libby’s Pumkin pack and lots of it. Any homebrewer knows that this method is a real mess at racking time. I hope that this labor of love continues annually for Tony and Fran as I’ll make an annual pilgrimage for this beer! This pours with a creamy off white head over a hazy dark orange body.
The aroma is more pumpkin than spice.
The flavor is a bit strange at first and then the spices come on to balance it all out somewhat. A little disjointed at first ,but it really improves as the flavors come out. mstockton (186), Rochester, Michigan, USA

It sure smelled good, but like most pumpkin beers, not a ton of pumpkin taste. Plus, there was a lot of carbonation. Don’t get me wrong, though, it’s pretty well made with a decent amount of flavor. It seems to have a lot of spice flavor to it such as clove. Kind of neat. hopdog (5604), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a deep and cloudy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg and light pumpkin. Tastes of pretty much the same. The cloves came out as I drank the beer. Lively body. This one was OK as the pumpkin and spices weren’t overpowering. tjthresh (1778), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 13, 2005 I had a 12 oz bottle while touring the brewery. Poured a very murky goopy, orange. It looked just like a can of Libby’s pumpkin. The clove was the dominate feature, but the other spices where very presant. Very fizzy in my mouth.
