| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Coppery amber pour. Mild but peasant aroma with hints of pumpkin and spice. Not much going on in the flavor department - a bit of malt sweety at the start, a bit of spice in the finish, maybe a bit of pumpkin (or maybe that’s just the power of suggestion...) Finish is weak with a little spice and maybe a bit of hops. Inoffensive. Thin palate. However, nothing bad in there at all - what flavor there is is all fine. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Pours a copper orange with off white head - Distinctive cinnamon and pumpkin aroma - Hints on cinnamon and pumpkin in the flavor but not as prominent as the aroma (a bit disapointly there) - Spicy on the palate with a little bitterness phaleslu (557), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2009 12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours mostly clear amber with a small off-white head. I overheard someone at a beer tasting event recently mention the total pumpkin pie taste of the O’Fallon Pumpkin Ale, and she wasn’t kidding. This one is pumpkin pie through and through the aroma and flavor. Nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, and caramel. My main gripe with this is the thin body, which is too watery. Paired with the serious pumpkin pie flavor, that makes it seem artificial. With a little body on this, it could be better.
