Poured to plastic a hazy, golden amber with modest, off white foam and spotty lacing. The aroma was pumpkin, but dominated by medium pie spice notes as cinnamon, nutmeg, and just a hint of clove. The flavor was similar with some mellow malt and very subtle bitter/dryness. One of the better pumpkin ales. rader58 (194), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Flavor of cinnamon cuts through with a malty finish. Not to shabby. I could drink more than one. guyinchicago (535), marengo, Illinois, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2009 Pours a clear golden orange with a ring of eggshell head. Aroma of nutmeg, light pumpkin, a little butteryness, and some cinnamon--not all in that particular order. Taste is the same with some very minor bitterness, but not really a lot of sweetness, either. Light body, lighter carbonation. Nothing wrong with this--nothing great about it either drfabulous (1272), Columbia, Missouri, USA

I prefer the moderately spiced - pumpkin beers have gotten too much in to the pumpkin pie mode these days. This one is very drinkable. noncaloric (625), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Cloudy orange amber, moderate beige head fading to a ring, temporary lace. Aroma has pumpkin pie spices, somewhat faint, but the flavor is very robust. A lot of earthy-sweet pumpkin to this, really a pumpkin ale and not just a spiced one. Spices are cinnamon heavy, nutmeg takes a back seat here. Caramel malt blends with the pumpkin, something of an apple cider impression. Medium body, spices give some life to the palate, but not much carbonic sparkle. dalepryor (172), Paducah, Kentucky, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2009 12oz bottle. Off white head with a cloudy orange body. Smell is sweet with a good amount of cinnamon but not very strong. Taste was pumpkin with cinnamon/spice flavors, not bad but not as much flavor as I would want. Pumpkin taste comes out a little more once it warms up. Mouthfeel was great and very drinkable.
