| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Aroma is slightly fruity/estery like a weak belgian, with spices and sweet vanilla notes. The flavor hints at fruitiness and a slight, slight bit of spiciness, but it’s nothing compared to other pumpkin ales. ChainGangGuy (2568), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clearish, light orange-hued body with a smallish, bubbly, white head.
Smell: It’s a pumpkin ale. Vaguely sweetish aroma smelling lightly of that oh-so humble, orange gourd sprinkled modestly with spices.
Taste: Delicate, lightly sweet pale maltiness provides enough of a canvas on which to paint a simple picture of Autumn with an understated taste of scooped-out pumpkin meat and, of course, the added spices. The label readily lists Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Clove. Oddly enough the spice tastes come through in just that order and intensity, so I really appreciate O’Fallon for having such a keen eye for detail when printing up the labels. Faint hop character and bitterness. Reasonably dry finish with light, lingering tastes of pumpkin and secondary spice notes.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: A nicely balanced, easy-drinking pumpkin ale, though I fear I may be becoming overly acclimated to the bolder, heftier pumpkin ales (e.g., Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin, Southern Tier Pumking). Still though, this is pleasant. Also, congrats to little Jimmy Bungler of Ms. McKenzie’s 1st grade class of Ferguson, Missouri, who’s winning submission provided the artwork for the label. Way to go, Jimmy! shp555 (1686), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Bottle. Hazy orange with small white head. ARoma is dry with pumpkin spice and yeast. Off dry with light pumpkin flavor, a little spritish. Medium to thin body with active, big bubbled carbonation. Not the most offensive pumpkin beer, in fact the pumpkin really isn’t all that strong, but the base beer just isn’t very well made. Zinister (1201), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 14, 2009 Thanks to Kaggie97 for this beer. Pours a gold-orange with no head. Aroma of pumpkin pie, spices, nutmeg and cloves. Flavor is totally pumpkin pie with a medium, dry, crisp finish. Very good pumpkin ale. dwaggs2 (550), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 5, 2009 Trade extra. Poured a hazy yellow-brown with a small off-white head. Nose is predominately cinnamon, brown sugar, and some nutmeg. Flavor has a malt presence with a bit of pumpkin, but nutmeg/ cinnamon is most of the taste. Finish is nutmeggy malt. Not bad, but it lacked a dominant pumpkin presence. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA
