Oct 6, 2008 Very nice hazy amber color with no head and light carbonation. Very spicy aroma with mostly nutmeg prevailing. Flavor is very sweet overall, kinda like apple juice. Spiciness is very much prevalent in the flavor with lots of cinnamon and lesser nutmeg but has a very nice pumpkin "guts" taste. The spices also seem to really stick to the tongue and give it a weird aftertaste that lasts but it’s great too see a beer that can impart that pumpkin "guts"/pumpkin fruit flavor very well.Overall it’s an okay beer but it’s a bit thin in your mouth.

Sep 30, 2008 Sampled at Hills Market beer tasting. This beer is a clear dark orange color with a medium thin and foamy bone white head that recedes steadily. Spotty rings of lacing on the glass that slide quickly. Aroma of pumpkin, Big Red cinnamon and other spices. Medium body with flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon and cloves. The finish is spiced with a milld earthy malt undertone that lingers a bit. Slightly above average overall.

Sep 29, 2008 Pours with a thin head and an aroma of faint pumpkin overwhelmed by spice and a hint of earthiness. The pumpkin-pie like flavor mixes with a toffee-like malt taste, and a bit of hopiness. The mouthfeel is just slightly thin for the style, and the aftertaste is on the weak side. Still, definitely enjoyable.
Not a bad pumpkin ale by any means, but it doesn’t stack up to the best from Missouri, that being Schlafly Pumpkin Ale.

Sep 11, 2008 Opaque copper color with whitish head. The first sip tasted just like pumpkin pie, with very little finish, or follow through of flavor. As I went on, I got less and less flavor with every sip. It is good, I’d drink it again.
