| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 24, 2005 12oz bottle acquired in trade with TannerTavernboys (thanks!). Poured a deep and cloudy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg and light pumpkin. Tastes of pretty much the same. The cloves came out as I drank the beer. Lively body. This one was OK as the pumpkin and spices weren’t overpowering. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Bottle courtesy of tjthresh. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of cinnamon, dough, oranges and ginger. Taste is moderately tangy and slightly like a cider at first. Lemons and pumpkin emerge as the beer warms. Finishes with hints of tea and lemons. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 6, 2004 This looked good as I poured it. Dark orange color and a (quickly disappearing) off-white head. For all of the claimed seasonings, the aroma was fairly weak, but had pumpkin spices in the fore. (I would’ve rated aroma better if they were stronger.) Quite carbonated. Not a bad taste, but the spicing doesn’t really come through until after the swallow. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 2, 2004 Cloudy golden color with hints of orange. Frothy white head. Really has all the nose of a pumpkin ale; Mild cookies, fresh pumpkin and light spice. Fairly firm bodied. Light spice and pumpkin seem to carry form start to finish with this brew. Balanced in that respect. Some odd chocolate flavors seem to sneak in and the pumpkin and malt come back in the linger. Tmoney99 (4783), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Flavor was sweet pumpkin and sweet spice. Finish was short and sweet. Worth trying once. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Turbid, ruddy amber pour with 1-finger, off-white head and little lacing. The aroma was very spicy, with nutmeg, cinnamon, bready malt, bread pudding. Tasted of pumpkin pie spices. It tastes like someone threw pumpkin pie in a blender, complete with the whipped cream! This one also reminds me a little of Viking Jule-ol. Great pumpkin aroma and taste. A top 10 pumpkin beer in my estimation. Ernest (4502), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), lightly hoppy (apricot), with notes of pumpkin and nutmeg.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
The best of this 3-beer blind flight...and certainly the one with the most pumpkin aroma.
