| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 14, 2008 The color was deep chocolate. The head was thin, fizzy, and off-white. The aroma was smokey, bacon, charred, and malty. The flavor was a bit anti-climactic. There was some roast, some bacon smokey taste, but not too complex. The palate was average. The finish was clean. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Updated: Jan 7, 20081/06/2008: O’Fallon Smoke Smoked Porter has a really nice meaty smoke aroma with the underlying caramel and fruit maltiness coming through the char. The color of this beer is dark brown (similar to that of black coffee) and not quite opaque. The mocha-colored head doesn’t stick around for long, but it does leave a thin veil and some light lacing. The flavor starts with some sweet chocolate with a nice, even smokiness. The sweetness and some caramel flavor is noticeable just before the dry finish. Lingering flavors include roasted malt, char, and black coffee. There is a good level of residual sweetness overall. This beer has a solid medium body and goes down very quickly. This is a very drinkable smoked beer. This is a well-balanced beer that is flavorful and does down well.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 4, 2008 A very nice styled porter. It has a rich creamy consistency for the after taste. The palate of the beer reminds me of a autumnal beer and something you would drink around the campfire. This porter is a nice choice for those ’smoked’ cask fans. It is not for a typical beer drinker, only those who appreciate a flavorful porter. Two thumbs up. jtw (944), farmington, Michigan, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2007 Decent body, fairly thin on the pallate. Good amount of smoke in the nose, but wasnt as smokey for tatste but these may have been quite old bottles. Needed a bit more malt body and smoke to be really good. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a dark brown color with a good-looking beige head. Fragrant smoke and malt aroma. Taste is very smoky, and includes notes of toffee and sweet chocolate. Mouthfeel is a little thin, especially in the aftertaste. Otherwise, I think that this was a really good beer.
