I stopped by the brewery on a recent trip to the STL area and brewer Brian Owens was a gracious host. This is a quality act. This offering was exceptional ... medium gold and active, this is a pretty beer. First, you get an all-American malty beer, but then there’s this perfect little hint of a citric hop rolling off the back of the tongue. Call it training wheels into great beers for guys that don’t know any better.

This is a brand new seasonal offering from O'Fallon and not the old "Summer Wheat." Pale straw-color with a thin tan head. Some light tangy malts in the aroma along with biscuit. Flavor has some floral hops, along with cereals and bread. All three O'Fallon beers I've tried so far are very similar.

Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma has soft caramel malt with a good amount of hops. Medium body. Hop presence is apparent from start to finish - piney and woody. Some grainy malt detectable in the background, but this is definitely a hop based beer. Hoppy, but not a knock in the head hopfest - a solid effort from O’Fallon. Very nice.

12oz. bottle. Fairly slight aroma, just some faint herbal hops and hints of citrus combined with husky, grainy malts. Light golden amber color with a lasting, fine, off-white head and clingy lace. Flavor is lightly bitter and hoppy to start, these leafy and citric, seeing a bit of pale maltiness about midpoint, and finishing dry and spicy with faint suggestions of lemon and pine. Palate is tangy and fairly effervescent, body is light-medium. Drinkable but not exactly exciting. Appropriately summery, however.

tap and bottle samples from various places. pours light orange with a soapy white head. aroma of spicy hops on tap, but in the bottle, a more piney note comes across with lots of toasted pale malt base-grainy, like cereal. the cascade hops they used must have been pretty green-grassy and spicy notes predominate the hop tone here. flavors of crisp pale malt husks, grassy hops, and the ofallon house malt/yeast twang on the finish. body is crisp, medium carbonation with a nice feel on the tongue. i would have to say this is a well balanced and fun drinking pale with some nice crisp flavors. A good compliment to the wheach for 2 solid summer beers.

Pour is a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is hard to find or pick up. Flavor is a clean wheat and hop combo. It ok but that is about it, nothing to really get excitied about.

Poured into a shaker glass. Pale golden color. Formed a decent white head that receeded to just a thin layer on top. Larger than normal bubbles. The aroma is pretty spicey. Grainy, almost adjuct malt aroma. Maybe toasted. The flavor is very ho-hum. Spicey or earthy hop flavor. Husky. Nice bitterness, and a crisp finish. Just doesn’t really taste all that good.

color is hazy orange/golden with a thin slightly off-white head. light yeasty aroma almost has a faint hint of gasoline. flavor is lightly hopped with maybe a hint of citrus...this would be a pretty decent beer in the summer..too bad i'm drinking it in november.
