Pour is a deep brown with a small lasting head. Aroma is of chocolate malts. Flavor is of spicy malts and a bit of nutty goodness. Probably a bit light for fans of the style but very tasty.

Bottled. Cloudy nut brown. Rounded, clean maltiness. Very mild with notes of chocolate. Low bitterness.

All malt and fair scottish qualities, here. Yes a bit light (both in color and in mouthfeel) but still has clear quality components. Just too thin, that’s all. Nice nose. Thanks M. Warms up nicely.

12oz bottle light clear brown color, small white head that quickly disappears, malty bready aroma, spicy malty and light smokey flavors, medium body, has a nice creamy mouthfeel, some dryness in the finish,a bit light for the style, still a decent winter brew.
