Dec 3, 2009 Nice dark chocolate brew in all senses of the word. The head is dark and coffee like, the body is just full coffee/chocolate/malt goodness.

Feb 17, 2009 Pours black with a generous head. Slightly sweet and roasty, but with a bitterness that complements the roasted malt nicely. Overall - full flavor, but not at all cloying, with a slight bitterness that makes for quite a drinkable porter.

Aug 17, 2008 Tap... Poured black with a big, light brown head. Aroma was roasted with a hint of caramel. Flavors were chalky with some malt grains and sweet caramel and chocolate. Sort of dry towards the finish.

Jun 20, 2004 On tap at the Old Chicago in Portland, OR. Pours a nice black color with a lighter tan head. Strong chocolate aroma with some good roasted tones. Taste was very roasty with hints of chocolate. The beer ended only slightly bitter. Overall, nice porter.
