emerica56 (434), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy amber color with an off whit head that is rather thin. The nose has some nice distinct hints of roasted walnut and almond, and there is some hopp notes but it is not popping out at you. The flavor is rather nuttey with almond and some spice. Initially there is a citrus hop tang that coats your palate. The finish is a bit watery and could use some more complexity.
REDBOSOX (28), Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, USA Jun 6, 2008 I remember when The Offshore Ale Company first started on The Vineyard. I’m from there, so it’s cool to see a brewer from home. This beer’s above average to me. It has good flavor, but little action in the hops. Overall, a 6 out of 10 for me. Drink4Satan (445), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA May 21, 2008 A vigorous produces a hazy orange copper colour with a medium sudsy biege head, fading to a thin cap. The nose reminds me of raw caramel malt with mild citrus tones and an overall impression of autumn. There is some spice present in the aroma, too. The flavour is lightly toasted malt, steamed vegatables and nuts. The hops are hardly present. The flavours are raw and uncooked tasting with a bit of odd zest. The palate is sharp and thin. Not so good. bitbucket (1473), Kirkland, Washington, USA Sep 21, 2007 Bottle. Pours orange amber with a towering off-white head. Citrus aroma with some toasted bread and fruit behind it. Medium-light body with lively carbonation. Nutty caramel taste with a goodly helping of cloves in the finish. Could stand to lose a bit of carbonation, but otherwise an interesting brew. Hippystomper (35), Narragansett, Rhode Island, USA Feb 24, 2007 Really large, bubbly white head. A bit too much carbonation. Flavor is light and not very complex. I could take this or leave it.
