Commercial Description:
This foreign-style stout is similar to bottled Guinness; a big dark brew that is rich and malty with plenty of roasted barley character. Six different malts combine to create this fantastic stout that is layered with chocolate-like flavors. You like coffee, you'll love this beer.

@bp. kA dark brown pour with hints of red on the edges and tan lace and head. ABV on the nose with hints of chocolate as well. Chocolate with grainy maltiness. Semi sweet with a good bitter. Medium bodied at best with ok carbonation. As it warms it thins I had it a room them and the abv came through kinda raw.

Bottled. Pours out oil-black colour with a quickly disappearing tan head. Aroma of dried cherries, dark chocolate and ground coffee plus a hint of hops. Flavour is dominated by coffee and malt. It comes across as excessively bitter and slightly burnt. Good but not great.

22 oz bottle via Hellbilly (Thanks!). Pours almost black with a small tan head. Nose is chocolate...very dark chocolate, coffee, and dark currants...taste is the same with lots of roastiness and some grapefruit hops in the finish...and dark chocolate... Aftertaste is a bit astringent. And burnt...roasted malts are nice..but this is burnt..perhaps a bit much black patent...cut back on that and exchange for roasted malts and this would be a winner! Body is light/medium, carbonation is average to moderate. Tasty but could use more body...and less astringency... P.S. although i will not adjust the score..this is much better on my-nitro!

Solid black stout, small tan head with minimal retention, nice chocolate coffee aroma, pleasantly smooth feel on the palate, bittersweet taste. Pretty solid all around, but doesn’t much stand out from the crowd. There’s a faint but attractive bit of cherry or berry on the finish.

(sampled with irishboy and footbalm)awesome appearance on this one.black as night with a creamy light brown head.i pick up chocolate, brown sugar, maple syrup, and something i would describe as "dirty feet".the flavor mixes up brownies, cocoa, powdered nestle quick, and diacetyl.
