Commercial Description:
This foreign-style stout is similar to bottled Guinness; a big dark brew that is rich and malty with plenty of roasted barley character. Six different malts combine to create this fantastic stout that is layered with chocolate-like flavors. You like coffee, you'll love this beer.

Bottle shared by Pailhead. Dark opaque brown body with reddish highlights, thin light brown head. Cocoa and buttery nose. Chocolate and coffee body, finishing with roasty bitterness. Thin palate. Boring.

22oz bottle from cbkschubert. Roasted bitter malt, milk chocolate and a lacto creaminess on the nose. Pours nearly pitch with deep ruby highlights. Very creamy khaki head. Flavor has a lot of bitter astringent malt. Spent coffee grounds. Bitter chocolate. Creamy. Medium bodied. A lasting bitter finish. This one misses the mark.

Pours jet black with a big chocolate milk head that leave sheets of lacing all over. Smells tasty with toffee, coffee, caramel, and some chocolate. Taste is like french vanilla cappuccino, chocolate, a little roasty and a nice bitter hop finish. Very unique and tasty. Creamy and smooth as silk in the mouth with little carbonation. Extremely drinkable and rather tasty. Thank you sir, Ill have another.

22oz bottle, courtesy of FlacoAlto. Thanks, Sebastian! Pours a dark chocolate-brown color; khaki-colored head with solid retention and lacing. Plenty of oily chocolate malts and peanuts in the aroma; a dense, chocolate and nougat core with a slight mineral bitterness; very light roast. Medium-to-full, creamy mouthfeel: a slight touch of citrus acidity / lactic tartness on the front of the tongue; plenty of nougat and chewy chocolate at the core; the bitterness and the acidity become a bit much after a moment or two in the mouth; starts to show some rough charred qualities and bitter coffee character mid-palate; starts out very pleasant, but too quickly saturates. Bitter milk and dark chocolate in the finish; some nuttiness and overly charred. Seems to suffer as it warms.

Fresh from the 22-ounce bottle its sets an onyx color, the head a two-fingered chocolate brown, creamy and as it ever so slowly vanishes, the lace forms a thick and surrounding sheet. Nose is full of chocolate, sweet and chewy, hops and a bit of smoke backs it up, a delectable treat for the olfactory senses. Front is rich in malt, sweet and thick, hops and burnt grain provide a delectable spicy bitterness, top is full bodied and rich. Finish has a fair to middling acidity, the hops pleasingly spicy, a touch of warming and the aftertaste thick and dry, a stout lovers dream.

On tap: The aroma consists of black coffee, fruit, and roasted malt. It’s a dark brown with very faint orange hilights and a small beige head. The flavor starts with chocolate and roasted malt. There is a light fruitiness in the middle. The finish has roasted coffee and light burnt flavors. Medium bodied with light carbonation.
