Nice roasty, coffeeish nose, faint licorice and malted milk, lightly smokey. Medium body, lightly coating on the palate. Rich roasty malt flavors backed by chocolate, toffee and a touch earthy. Fairly dry roasty finish. Thanks go out to eaglefan for supplying the bomber we all enjoyed. Thanks Brian!! eaglefan538 (2405), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

It’s nice to go to a brewpub and have a nice stout on tap. Most of the locations I’m used to have a really underwhelming stout but this was a really pleasant change. An aroma with plenty of roasted barley character, soft coffee and licorice notes and a bit of chocolate. Flavor profile is much the same way but more emphasis on the coffee, chocolate notes along with the roasted barley. Appearance is jet black, light brownish head, one-finger thick. Overall another tasty offering from Oggi’s. GreatLibations (1454), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Pours like iodine w/ a full, creamy spattered froth. Decent hangtime w/ a full milky canopy and lacing. Aromas of mildly roasted, buttery panckes. Nice! Thats a first. Medium full nectar w/ soft and creamy residual effers. The texture is like silk. This brew is balanced right out of the bull pin. Big roasted malts and a decent hop profile marry well. The buttery essence carries into the flavor and gives it a very unique character. Bitter cocoa, roasted coffee bean, leather, deep black cherry, slight vanilla. I would say this is dry but not parching. It leaves a mild coat of molases on board. The finish is long and bittered perfectly leaving my palate searching for the next sip. Overall: this heavy brew is so well balanced I could drink it all night long. There are very few stouts I can say this about. Good job! Highly recommended. bhensonb (4389), Woodland, California, USA

Opaque brown/black color with a tan head that flattened. Smooth carbonation, medium bodied. Strong dark burnt malt flavor, but it’s not quite harsh. Underlaid with chocolate. Smooth. The finish is burnt and dry, and there seems to be a bit of bitter. Coffee? Went right by me. Good drink.
