Pours a black body with a finger-width, very creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and actually never completely goes away. Leaves a heavy layered lacing. Again served in a frosted glass...why?! Aroma is pretty bland. Mainly light, sweet malts. I guess there’s a little chocolate and roastiness, but not too much. The flavor is a little better, but not by much. Very bland and muted, again. Malty with some rich chocolate and barely a hint of roastiness towards the back. Lots of sweet fruits, actually, but nothing to balance them out. Palate is medium bodied and watery at the same time. Overall, it may be the frozen glass, but this was pretty bad. No coffee, barely any roast, and boring. Poorly made and bland. Rciesla (3634), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Roasty coffee with hints of chocolate and etoh latent dark fruit. Coco and a hint of smoke. A decent stout. Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA

I remember it being jet black, and somewhat mouth coating. Really roasty coffee and smoke. A charring beer. BMan1113VR (2878), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Pours a deep black with a resilient brown head. Aroma of chocolate, leather, coffee, alcohol, toffee. A bit of oxidation evident. Taste is leather, tobacco, yeast, tons upon tons of smoke, chocolate and a few dark fruits. A bit thin on the mouthfeel, but still a bit creamy. Interesting.
