Commercial Description:
This foreign-style stout is similar to bottled Guinness; a big dark brew that is rich and malty with plenty of roasted barley character. Six different malts combine to create this fantastic stout that is layered with chocolate-like flavors. You like coffee, you'll love this beer.

22 oz. bottle - pours thin, jet black with tan head fading quickly; buttery, chocolate aromas; drinks roasty and dry; thin texture and clear, cola brown around the edges; sweet chocolate in the finish, but overall quite unimpressive

Bottle shared by Dickinsonbeer. And EDA before him. I know Ive had this stupid thing before. But oh well. Roasty, chocolate, bitter aroma is quite nice. Clean and malty. Flavor is a touch thin, lemony, nice-ish roast, mildly yeasty. Pretty decent. Needs more body. A lot more.

Black pour, with medium tan head. Nicely done stout, I enjoyed this. Caramel malt, roasted grain, notes of coffee and cocoa, dark fruit, and nuts. For how malty this beer is, it’s very dry, with some hops in the finish. Medium mouthfeel, and smooth.

Bottle. Black with a fleeting brown head. Nice aroma is rich roasty malts with some caramel sweetness. Medium body. Nice flavor starts with sweet caramel, then turns dry with roasty, nutty malts, with a bitter hop taste to finish. Nice

Bottle, shared with Harry and Blankboy, courtesy of one of their secret santas. As Left Coast Black magic Stout. Black, medium tan head. Very dry aroma - nice. Taste is good - neat I would say. Very very dry, lots of roast, lots of hops. Nothing foreign about it - this is a ’’Imperial’’ dry stout. Really liked it - great way to end the evening.

Getting notebook online. Bottle. Pours a mild black. Malty nose. Notes of dark dried fruits and coffee. A chalky mouthfeel with a bitter finish. A decent stout.

My bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev -- courtesy of Summer Secret Santa 2008. As ’Left Coast Black Magic Stout’. Pours a very dark brown with a long lasting foamy light-brown head. Nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and some lactic notes. Very dry flavour of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate -- quite flavourful. Some light hops in the dry finish. Thick bodied. A well made, very good Stout, I really enjoyed it.
