Commercial Description:
This foreign-style stout is similar to bottled Guinness; a big dark brew that is rich and malty with plenty of roasted barley character. Six different malts combine to create this fantastic stout that is layered with chocolate-like flavors. You like coffee, you'll love this beer.

Very dark brown. Chocolatey, coffeeish nose. Thick, rich flavour with a fudgey accent. Decent stout, not terribly foreign, maybe just American.

22oz. bottle. Roasted malt, coffee and dark caramel in the aroma, sweet and gently burnt with notes of oddly sour fruit, faint butterscotch and milky chocolate. Solid black in color with a lasting, fine head and thin lace. Flavor is roasty and sweet, plenty of dark coffee and cocoa throughout, hints of toffee and raisin noted before the dry, winey, lightly bitter grain finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and very gently acidic with a medium-full body. Balance seems to improve as it warms. Thanks to hellbilly for this.

22 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with alohaC. Pours a dense black with a luscious brown head that lasted through mid-glass and left a coating of lace with each sip. Strong aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. The flavor is roasted malt with some coffee and much less chocolate than the aroma suggests. Some tobacco flavor and a bit of wet cardboard also present. Dry hoppy finish. Very good stout.

On tap at Oggi’s in SD, CA--Deep black, opaque body with a creamy, filmy, bright beige head. Lots of lace. Chocolaty, nutty, vanilla nose w/ a big coffee presence in the taste. Finished bitter from both hops and deep and dark chocolate.

On tap at Oggi’s Arrowhead...a decent stout close to the house!!! Woohoo!!! Pours a dark brown bordering black with a creamy tan head. Nothing overpowering, nothing cloying, just the right amount of goodness. Whole milk thickness with chocolate covered coffee bean flavor. How can that be bad???

This is quite nice. Not a lot of aroma. Great black color with tan head. Flavor is sweet and roasty with a bit of hoppy graininess in the finish. Smooth and tasty.

On tap at Oggi’s Scottsdale. Pours a deep black with a minimal black head. Nose is coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Palate is coffee, roasty malt and some salty soy sauce. Dry finish with a bit of bitter hops in the finish. Creamy mouth feel. Not bad, but not great either.

Bottle. Black with a thin brown head that dissipates quickly. Light, sweet toasted malt aroma. Taste is bigger and nicely bitter, with heavy dark chocolate and coffee notes on top of the malt. Lingering toasty bitterness. Nice stout.
