Commercial Description:
GOLD METAL 2000 Great American Beer Festival! This light refreshing Cream Ale is brewed for those who enjoy a clean, crisp beer. It uses small amounts of Vienna malt to add body and flavor while preserving the light color. Sterling hops provides just a hint of spice in the aroma. 12oz plastic bottle with screw top. Pours to a clear, pale yellow color with some definite amber tones to it, even when held to the light. The head is small, white, and quickly fades to a tiny ring. The aroma is very mild but shows hints of sweet malts, cereal, light honey, and a scent that is almost diacetyl, but it seems more likely to me that what I’m smelling comes from the malt bill and not any infection problems - so in reality this scent can better be described as lightly fruity, with hints of apples. Taste is mild, yet shows plenty of malt flavor - pale malt, cereal, and hints of the slightly darker vienna malt, hops are almost imperceptible in the flavor. Light bodied but not watery, medium carbonation. This is simple but it’s well done and exactly what you’d expect.

On tap @ Oggis Mission Valley - Pours a clear light golden color with a thin white head. Nice lacing. Has a light grain and bready malt aroma. Flavor is light grain with a touch of hop bitterness. Light to medium body. Nothing fancy, but a decent beer.

12 oz brown PET bottle, no freshness date.

Dark golden, with a short lived BMC type head.

Aroma is toasty with a very light fruitiness in the background.

Flavor is toasty & maybe a touch sweet, but not much really. All I could think of was hot buttered toast. Can I get some marmalade?

Draft @ Oggis Mission Valley. Pale in the glass with a white head that attempts a showing some lacing. Subdued aroma but hints of corn like a pale macro. The flavor some what makes up for it with some earthy tones mixed with lemon and hints of malts. Light body and dry.

12oz plastic bottle from bartzilla. pours hazy gold with white head. nose is infected-band aids, and spice. flavor is off at first but becomes sweet, crisp, and finishes dry. almost witbier like. this coul be nice if it wasn’t infected.
