Commercial Description:
GOLD METAL 2000 Great American Beer Festival! This light refreshing Cream Ale is brewed for those who enjoy a clean, crisp beer. It uses small amounts of Vienna malt to add body and flavor while preserving the light color. Sterling hops provides just a hint of spice in the aroma. Is now sold in Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium, and the Del Mar Race Track in plastic bottles.

Your standard cream with not much flavor. Boring and dull. The only good thing about it is that its easy to drink.

Gold body with no head. Carbination was good. Metalic aroma and a slightly bitter finish. Thought I was drinking a Miller Lite from a can instead of glass.

(Draft) Pours a pale yellow body with a moderate white head. Very light flavor of hops and sweetness. Creamy texture.

I have had this on draft several times at Oggi’s Mission Viejo. This is your basic lawnmower beer. Nothing special, but something to serve the knuckleheads who come to a brewpub then ask for Bud.

On tap at Oggi’s in Escondido. Poured a light, clear yellow with almost no head. Light spices and citrus. Nothing real special. The least favorite of the 7 Oggi’s beers I had tonight.

Their Gold Medal Winner, but if you put a MGD sticker on there, i probably would not even flinch. Light and hoppy as advertised, but hard to believe this is a stand out enough beer for any kind of Gold Medal.

(Draft: O’Brien’s in San Diego, CA) Not a very interesting beer, and I don’t really care for it, but the flavor isn’t too bad for a light style beer for the masses, and you gotta please the masses to stay in business; Mild corn flavor and slightly sweet, with a decent hops bite; Light to medium body is about average for the style; Not much to the nose, maybe a little hops; Medium golden color; Whitish head fades away rather quickly

Draft at Petco Park. Pours a clear gold color. Fizzy white head. Aroma is grainy as is the flavor. Better than the other options at teh ballpark but nothing great.
