Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Nov 29, 2007 The beer departs the 22-ounce bottle a clear mahogany color with chucks of goodies, the head is substantial and off white, as it erodes the lace forms a concealing sheet upon the glass. Nose has a decent hop floral aroma, chased by the sweet malt, crisp and clean. Start is a bit sweet with a pleasant malt profile and a modest bitter bite at thee back, top is medium in feel. Finish has a determined acidity with hops deliciously spicy, dry and long lasting aftertaste to seal off the beer, drinkable and a nice IPA.
rustychiles (362), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 14, 2008 Sampled at Made in the Shade festival in Flagstaff AZ. Aroma is very full of hops and a little malt. Has a lot of hop bitterness, with a nice malt sweetness to back it up. Pretty decent IPA. Hophead22 (78), Redlands, California, USA Jul 5, 2008 Quality IPA everytime I have it. Nice hops flavor throughout the whole pint. Very good. From April 27 08’ bluemeow76 (685), Lewis Center, Ohio, USA Jun 27, 2008 Of the 7 beers I tried at Oggi’s in Del Mar, this was the only one that I sincerely liked. It had a great fruity and floral aroma, great light finish. Didn’t taste as hoppy as most IPAs, but the flavor was great. buzzoven (67), Japan Jun 22, 2008 When first tasted, I thought this was just too bitter and seemed a little off base. As it warmed up, it quickly became a quality beer. As I said, the bitterness is deep here, but the beer’s character comes shining through. Superb balance, well crafted beer. Hit the spot. Oscbert (188), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 17, 2008 ~Pours a light honey color.
~Distinct sweet hop scent, almost a chemical smell.
~Taste is very hoppy and citrusy. Too much..
~Astringent and dry feel.
~Its too sour and bitter for me. A stomache turner. I’m wondering if I got a bad one. Normally I like high hop beers. This one was just weird.
