16.9oz bottle. it pours to an opaque, yet shimmering amber, much like the colour of the entrapment of the mosquito in the first jurassic park film. anyway - white fluffy head. smells like a dark wheat beer (run-of-the-mill); lacking at best. while the brew has a nice rich and thick mouthfeel, the taste is still a bit thin. there’s a bit of random spice here, as well as lemon. it’s a good mix, but it’s not quite my preference. it tastes a bit too fluffy for me. there is some funky sediment in the bottom of my glass - perhaps from the non-filtering? also - the overall flavour is bland. it reminds me of a time, around 14 yrs old, where i enjoyed, dare i say it, PBR. but i am in no way comparing this beer-crafting to the likes of PBR, just the feeling behind it. it does have a certain freshness to it, but i wouldn’t buy it again. i would, however, drink it if someone were to buy a round.

Bottle. Orange-glden colour with a medium fully lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of fruits, bit sourness, spicy hops and wheat. Flavour is smooth and dry, bit sweet, yeasty, some vanilla and some lemon, slightly bitter, good spiciness. The finish is bitter and bit spiced with a slight sour touch. Tasty brew!

Bottle. Initial slow half-glass pour is clear, bright yellow-gold with a good sized white head. Aroma, body and flavour are all sharp, with nice citrus and herbal notes, somewhat tart and quite dry in the finish. Second pour brings the yeast, turning the body cloudy and adding some dustiness to the aroma and flavour. The few UK wheat beers I’ve had before this haven’t done much for me, but I enjoyed this one.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange body with yeast specks and a small white creamy head. Dry, perfumey aroma - fruits, pear, apple, and dusty yeast. Decent dusty character reminding me of an american wheat. Refreshing bitterness and live carbonation with some peach hops and sweet fruits.
Tasted at Smokeless Joe in Toronto on January 19, 2007.

Bottle 500 ml @ Smokeless Joe
Appearance: floaties, cloudy, even slightly muddy (amber), smallish fine top. 2+
Aroma: light hop presence, faint fruity touch, light sweetness 4+
Thin, watery body with noticeable mineral character. Light wheat grainy hints spiced with hops. Forgettable, hops are not enough.

500 ml bottle. Golden colour and crystal clear. Throws a really tall white and fluffy head. Lots of proteins from the wheats it seems. The head falls down after a while. Typical cloying sweet and sour wheat aroma. Dry powdery hops. Dull flavour with a boring hop bitterness in the finish. Soap water. Light bodied. Dry powdery finish from hops. This is everything a wheat should not be. The beer isn’t really unbalanced, but there is just nothing interesting about it. It’s just boring.

Cask gravity at the South Devon Beer Festival, 21/09/2006. A clear golden colour with a small head. A light aroma with hints of honey and just a touch of wheat. The taste is hoppy with a little wheat and citrus. There’s not much wheat in this wheat beer and I was rather disappointed by it.
