Flavor was water driven and light citrus, finished watery sweet honey and touch of hops. Showed some decent balance in the end, but overall a lousy beer. Pours deep gold with big white head and tons of carbonation. Aroma of floral esters, hops, citrus. Tastes very light and uninspiring on the palate, with finishing touches of hops, citrus, and slight honey. The smell is much better than the taste. Gets more "firm palated", hoppy and bitter as it warms. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The bottle fermentation has created an immense pressure so that the beer almost floods out of the bottle. Pronounced hoppiness by which this British wheat certainly is different from it’s German and Belgian counterparts. But quite fresh although mainly from the hops - you don’t find the refined fruity wheat esters in this. Unfortunately. 240105 PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Pours a dark golden to light orange with a decent sticky white head. Slight piney and citrusy aroma, reminding me of an American Pale Ale. Flavor has some of the same notes with a bit of nuttiness thrown in there as well. Sticky mouthfeel. Overall decent. turbothy (726), Bonn, Germany

The taste is salt and bitter, not sweet like I would have expected from a wheat beer. The opposite of thirst-quenching, but it grew on me. After all, a beer that leaves you thirsty can’t be all bad ... ;-) Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark
