Fruity spice aroma. Initially sweet but fading to quite a bland but refreshing beer. (6 3 5 3 13) apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA

Yeasty too, and bready. Gorgeous frothy head. The flavor is a little more malty than other wheat beers I’ve had. A little thin in the finish, which is also slightly sour. A drinkable beer, but not great. notalush (2683), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 1, 2004 Clear golden with a large head of huge bubbles - high carbonation that doesn’t seem to make its way into the mouthfeel as much as I expected - crispy and lemony up front - making way for a touch of grainy malt and a slight hop profile - citrus and hop finish - refreshing. Appearance-large sized frothy white head with fine-large sized bubbles that mostly diminished. Uncarbonated, cloudy with a golden hue. Aroma-malty, banana, spicy and clove. Flavor-sweet, hops and banana with an aftertaste. Palate-tingly with a light textured body and fair lacing. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2004 This bottled brew poured a very large sized head of foamy white colored long lasing bubbles that left behind a very good clingy lacing. The body is a carbonated transparent yellow color and the aroma is typical of a good wheat mixed with subtle citrus malty and strong wheat notes. The mouth feel is on the harsh sized with a good malty bite to it and a strong tingly sensation from start to lingering finish. The flavor is also chalky malty and wheaty, kind of one dimensional. Nice complex flavors without being either too sweet or too dry. All of the good things I like in a wheat. Maybe the Brits should make more American style wheat beers.
