Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Chestnut brown with creamy head. initially served very cold and it tasted like a dud, luckily on warming up it recovered extremely well. Quite bitter for an Irish Red, hoppy and fresh giving a tingling effect across the tastebuds, almost as if the hops were slightly charged. Lasting and tasty on the palate, pretty good.

Nov 18, 2009 Cask-conditioned at the Lloyds No 1, Bristol 18/11/09. Reddish-amber with a slight white head. Malty aroma, with a hint of earthy roastiness. Flavour had some sweetish malts, nuttiness and a dry finish. Good.

Nov 11, 2009 Cask, The William Wygston, Wigston. Red brown with a creamy thin head. Aromas are toffee and berries with a light nuttiness and herbal notes. Flavours are sweet toffee with earthy hops. Sticky pear with a dry finish.

Oct 4, 2009 Cask handpull at The Rake. Chestnut, thin beige head. Malty but pretty good should be as it’s a read ale, some sweetness, but not too much. Pretty good.

Oct 1, 2009 Red amber with a lasting off-white head. Fruity aroma with a tea-like note, and malt in the background. Dry and fruity flavour, ith notes of hops, biscuit, and figs. Nice and bitter finish

Sep 5, 2009 Clear red with a medium off white head. Aroma was fruity with caramel and floral notes. Flavour was fairly dry with caramel, berries, floral hops and toasted malt. Finished bitter.
