Bottle: some malty sweetness, pretty fruity and juicy, some honey, caramel and grapes, some weak yeasty sourness notes, and a good dose of hoppy sharp bitterness, long dry and bitter finish, needs a bit more body but nevertheless another good beer from o’hanlons.

Cask @ OL i Aarhus. Pours a red amber with practically no head. Aroma is oaky and earthy with a little caramel. Mouthfeel is light with low carbonation. Flavour begins sweet then some caramel and a nice bitter finish mixed in with a long oaky aftertaste. Nice!

500 ml, bb 07-18-06! Cloudy chestnut color with a huge spewing-out-of-the bottle head that is sticky and lasts forever. Aroma is earthy-spicy with some cooked sweet apples. Flavor is earthy pumpkin with root spices, maybe some Belgian horse blanket, and sweet-’n-sour apples and grapes. The palate is smooth, light-medium bodied, and a little watery. This one was obviously past its prime, but I enjoyed it.

Appearance: amber copper color. Great head, of ivory color, consistent, rocky and very persistent. Beautiful foam. Aroma: candied malty, medium toasty; honey, vanilla and wood touches. Sweet-fruity od read apples, peaches and pears. Good herbal-hoppy, slightly metallic. Flavor: sweet malty start, candy; sweet-fruity like peaches, apples, quince and pears; citric-dry-fruity like peel orange. Medium hoppy finish, persistent, with herby tones. Smoked and humidity wood aftertaste. Palate: light to medium body, soft and watery texture. Medium carbonation. Interesting beer, nice dryness and woody touches.

Rich malt aroma, some good hops, copper, pouring a small tan head. Taste is a pleasant malt, then fresh leafy hops. Light bodied, balanced, a good session ale. Thank You mds.
