argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Dec 14, 2004 (500ml bottle, best by 2/28/05) Cloudy copper body topped by medium, beige, milkshakish head. Aroma is medium sweet, floral, orange, cookie dough, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet, earthy, floral, some roasty chocolate, light raisin. Medium body, light resin, light acidity. Enjoyable beer. JPDIPSO (4864), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Dec 3, 2004 Copper color with a large light beige head. Sweet pipe tobacco aromas with raisins and hazelnuts. Mild fruit (raspberry and mild mango) with dry caramel flavors. Finish is mildly earthy and mild hops stick in the linger. I enjoy this from a more traditional ale point of view. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Dec 2, 2004 Fresh, citric, hoppy aroma. Bitter flavour with burnt tones. Nice mouthfeel. jeffc666 (1886), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Nov 22, 2004 Lots and lots of beige foamy head. I mean a whole lot. Murky orange body. The aroma is quite hoppy, soem light citrus along with a raisiny maltiness. It has a certain dusty aroma I usually associate with lambics, It is in no way overpowering or unpleasant just a bit unusual given the style. Interesting spicy flavor that I was not expecting. The fruity hops are in there also, but not much else. Dry bitter palate and finsih. The overcarbonation lends in the overly bitter mouthfeel I think. I think my bottle is slightly off, though not outright bad. Will have to try this one again. Rockinout (945), Kent, Ohio, USA Nov 19, 2004 Hazy golden orange color, some lacing, Spicy nose and taste with a mild hop presence, spicy bitter dry finish. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA Nov 13, 2004 Bottled: Clouded orangey amber apearance, decent head formation. Strong sweet berry, raisin fruit aroma, hoppy and yeasty. Dry hoppy, yeasty palate, notes of toffee albeit a little understated. Interesting blend but slightly harsh, never really shines, . Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Nov 12, 2004 The aroma is quite spicy with some citrus and bread. The appearance is a dirty orange with a moderate head. The flavor is fairly bitter with some grass and citrus fruit. The aftertaste is quite bitter. This is a pretty decent pale ale. maltdog (509), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 10, 2004 Bottle. Pours attractive orange, fairly clear. Second pour, with lees, is murky russet. Initial fluffy beige head dimishes to a fuzzy cap that stays to the last sip. Lovely streams of tiny bubbles and nice lacing. Aromas of buttercream malt and a decent bit of pungent resiny hops. Fruity flavor with caramel apples, spicy hop, and citric tartness. Light creamy palate is scoured clean by perfect pinpoint carbonation. Tangy citric aftertaste with very mild bitterness leaves you wanting more. Pleasant and true to style.
