Cask; Occasional. Also available bottle conditioned, mainly for export to America.
Has been seen as Royal Oak Pale Ale and Royal Oak Traditional Bitter.
Ingredients: Optic Pale, Crystal, and Torrified Wheat malts; Challenger, Northdown and Goldings hops.
"Royal Oak is a pale ale of noble character in the grand tradition of British country brewing. Classically deep amber, rich in malt and fragrant with hop aroma, it’s a rounded, soft ale of beautifully balanced complexity and lasting finish."

[Cask at Cockney Pub, Århus] A hazy red beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with light hoppy notes, while the flavor is sweet malty with medium berry notes as well as light flowery notes, leading to a bitter end.

Dark hazy orange colour with a small head. Perfumed aroma. Hoppy. Lots of bitterness in flavour with a slightly alcoholic end. Good.

Cask at Devon Beers Festival, Royal Oak, Ockbrook. When a beer shares the name of the pub, how can you resist? Well, qute easily... fairly brown, fairly malty, fairly average. Doesn’t taste the 5%. Nothing Premium about this.

Poured with yeast - clousy dark orange with a sloppy white head. Malty, citrusy aroma. Based on that, I was expecting this to be really maltysweet, but in fact there is hardly any sweetness in the flavor. Full flavored, sturdy hop profile throughout. dusty, dry finish.

What a head on the pour!huge mountains of finely packed bubbles,on top of a sandy amber sediment heavy beer.Hops noted in the nose. On taste Starts bitter and grassy, transitions smoothly into malt and carmal then slides back into dry.A real nice beer. This beer has a real classic ale flavour to it and the body is about perfect.

On draught hand pump from The Babington in Derby (a Wetherspoons during the Octoberfest). A mid Brown coloured Bitter Ale with a Thick Creamy head. The 5% really came through in the taste & detracted slightly from it’s appeal. Still fair to average...

Hazy amber color with a tons of foamy head, delicious malty hop aroma. This was all looking to be great until I took a sip, a fair bit of tinny metallic but the flavour that is there is still pretty good. Also a tinny metallic aftertaste.
