Has been seen as Royal Oak Pale Ale and Royal Oak Traditional Bitter.
Ingredients: Optic Pale, Crystal, and Torrified Wheat malts; Challenger, Northdown and Goldings hops.

Bottle (500ml). Poured bronze with a small, rocky, off-white head which lasted very well. An almost herbal aroma with parsley, star aniseed, fantastic fennel-like hoppy notes, ginger, caramel malts, plums and blackberries. Flavor was a good hop bitterness with tart blueberry, juicy blackberries, currents, caramel malts, basil, fennel, gingerbread, roasted hazelnuts and a dry finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and a good finish.

Bright copper colored body with a light khaki head. The aroma has rich caramel and oranges. There is also some milk chocolate rabbit. The taste is largely milk chocolate with hints of apple. There was also some rich bread crust. A nicely made brew with a roasted finish. Hints of iced tea start to come through as it warms.

A golden ale with an extra thick frothy off white head, very carbonated. A pleasant citrusy malt aroma, grassy, lightly oxidized and biscuit. In mouth, crisp malt and light hopping, light mineral noted. Still in good shape. Tasted Nov. 2006, for a BB of 29-09-05.

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms, Putney, 1st June 08. The strength is instantly apparent. Interesting malty taste with the ghost of a coconu flavour too. Smooth palate but not much to my taste.

Bottle. Murky copper, nice cloudy pale head. Mildly caramel malty nose, dried ginger, apple. Flavor is apple pie, spices, bitter orange, dull earthy bitterness. Very stuffy. A bit watery palate. Not really my thang.
