| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2008 Copper in colour with a creamy white coloured head, good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is of caramel malts, light citrus, biscuits and floral hops. The flavour is very light, some light citrus hops, light caramel sweetness, various fruits. Very lightly bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes thin, bitterness starts to pick up, lightly sweet, lingering.
Sort of lackluster, lightly bitter, starts off slow but it picks up in the finish.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 18, 2005 Bottle. Pours an orangish iced-tea color with a fast-rising off-white head that eventually deflates to a reasonable size. The aroma is sweet, woody, and a bit floral. The flavor is wood and grapefruit up front, then a tour of various malts, then some floral honey sweetness, then a warm and smooth hop finish. Not the kind of thing I would drink for leisure, but this would be excellent with some good food. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

The appearance is a dirty orange with a moderate head. The flavor is fairly bitter with some grass and citrus fruit. The aftertaste is quite bitter. This is a pretty decent pale ale. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2006 Pours coppery-amber colored with light carbonation visible through a honey-haze. A HUGE, khaki head took a long time to settle. Musty aroma of roasty pralines with an undertow of lemony, grassy hops. Sweet, candied, nutty flavor with a soft yet syrupy thickness. Artificial fruitiness of cherries and lemons chimes in. Over the course of the beer, I could not decide whether or not I liked it, but it turns out that I found it rather cloying and thought the flavors didn’t mesh.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 22, 2004 Lots and lots of beige foamy head. I mean a whole lot. Murky orange body. The aroma is quite hoppy, soem light citrus along with a raisiny maltiness. It has a certain dusty aroma I usually associate with lambics, It is in no way overpowering or unpleasant just a bit unusual given the style. Interesting spicy flavor that I was not expecting. The fruity hops are in there also, but not much else. Dry bitter palate and finsih. The overcarbonation lends in the overly bitter mouthfeel I think. I think my bottle is slightly off, though not outright bad. Will have to try this one again.
