Clear amber/copper color. Fruity, faint notes of peaches and citrus. Med/light body. Light malt flavors with the fruit coming through on the palate also. Light fruity ale. Finish is dry. This new version should have been kicked up a notch, could of been interesting. MrManning (1652), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2007 I had this bitter at Chaucer’s Pub in London, Ontario. Deep ruby colour with orange hues. Pours a gian rocky white head, leaving plenty of pretty lace. Very fruity aroma off the start (plum), very malty with a good dose of hops. Biscuit and bread as well. Maybe a touch of cherry. The flavour profile is a nice of balance between the sweetness from the malts and a bitter almost piney flavour from the hops. FInishes creamy, buttery maybe, with nice bite from the hopping.
