Pours a hazy dark orange-red with a thin off white cover. A nice fruity caramel aroma, citrus orange and an woodiness. Taste if unfortunately thinner, light caramel, a nuttiness, and more grapefruit fruity hops.

Pours a three finger off-white head that fades to a thin layer leaving a little lace. Almost clear, amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Woody apple nose. Starts nearly balanced with moderate hops, finish is distinctly hoppy but not as harsh as American pales. Tastes fresh even with a best before Feb 28, 2005. $3.69 for a 500ml bottle from Lina’s Beverages Painesville, OH.

Medium sized offwhite/gray head, ok retention and some scattered lacing. Clear amber/copper color. Fruity, faint notes of peaches and citrus. Med/light body. Light malt flavors with the fruit coming through on the palate also. Light fruity ale. Finish is dry. This new version should have been kicked up a notch, could of been interesting.

I had this bitter at Chaucer’s Pub in London, Ontario. Deep ruby colour with orange hues. Pours a gian rocky white head, leaving plenty of pretty lace. Very fruity aroma off the start (plum), very malty with a good dose of hops. Biscuit and bread as well. Maybe a touch of cherry. The flavour profile is a nice of balance between the sweetness from the malts and a bitter almost piney flavour from the hops. FInishes creamy, buttery maybe, with nice bite from the hopping.
