May 17, 2004 Bottle at DBF 2004. Amber appearance. Hoppy nose, fruity. Aroma is like sticking your nose down in a bag full of fresh hops! The flavor is malty and rather hoppy. Fruity.

Sep 11, 2004 Hazy bronze body with a thick, fluffy, eggshell head. Fresh, lightly hopped nose. Fresh, sweet oranges, light pine, caramel, toasted grains, stale bread, light cardboard and some residual malt sweetness. Moderate body. The flavor is fairly tasty with a nice balance of sweet malt and astringent hop juice. However, at times there is a bit of plasticity that reminds me slightly the one batch of homebrew I’ve made. Tasty, but slightly off at times.

Mar 28, 2006 Pours amber honey with a huge white froth that slowly dissipates into fragments. Just enough residual effers to keep it from going flat. Nose is dry hops without the citrus but with some celery and cuccumber. A little barn-yardish. Medium nectar. Slightly bitter and very dry with a woodsy tropshire. Also on the list is tobacco, malt, green citrus rind, and celery. Finish is dry and bitter.

Dec 11, 2007 hazy amber color. nice bubble beige head, wicked lacing on the glass. Aroma is typical english hops, some caramel maltiness, and some bready buiscuit. Flavour is slightly grainy, and bready. I’m getting a bit of hops, but it’s wattered down. Finish is somehwat bitter, meh, average.

Oct 21, 2005 Nice looking ugly light brown/orange/copper with a generous amount of yeasties swimming around. Huge, rocky, light tan head. Aroma of roasty malt and strong, piney hops-smells like a cross between an amber and an ipa. Roasty malt beginning quickly yields to bitter, piney hops, some clove in the finish with yeast adding a bit of depth. Medium/full creamy body, easy drinking. Excellent.

Apr 27, 2005 Well first of all, this is a very attractive beer. A cloudy light brown color with a very thick off-white head. The thing is there is little yeasties floating around in it. I’m not offended by this but it’s not very attractive. Hops in the aroma but nothing too noticeable. Flavor is hoppy and lightly fruity. Too much fizz in the mouthfeel. But really, this is a good beer and if I ever found it on cask I’d be overjoyed.

Mar 12, 2004 color is almost exactly the same as the au courant i just had. medium golden, slightly hazy, head is off-white, kind of creamy. aroma is mildy candy sweet, and citrus hops with a nice floral quality. flavor is mostly hops with notes of celery through to the finish. i like this one.
