color is almost exactly the same as the au courant i just had. medium golden, slightly hazy, head is off-white, kind of creamy. aroma is mildy candy sweet, and citrus hops with a nice floral quality. flavor is mostly hops with notes of celery through to the finish. i like this one.

I have high expectations for a beer that is called a "premium bitter". This beer is an interesting example of a bitter, although its actually not very bitter at all. Strong cask characteristics, yeasty. Barely any head over a dark orange body. It lacks aroma - maybe some heather or herbs. The flavor is mild and woody - its good and refreshing, albeit a little too thin.

Bottle, Can’t believe I had to come all the way to Canada to get this. Cloudy ruby/orange colour, nice, stable head. A definite hop/malt flavour and a bitter/malt flavour with a semi-lasting finish with malt finishing notes, Nice

Cask - Red brown slightly hazy body with a very creamy beige head; Mellow but hoppy aroma, lemon, orange, pine as well as straight up fresh hop; Flat, fresh, soft textured, balanced bitter body; Quite long finish where bitterness grows with the length, a very little dry, orange and pine like hoppy aromas and a little sweet malt.

Purchased when I lived just outside of Royal Oak, Michigan. Very plain, English style ESB. Not for me. Too light.

500ml - Best Before 022805 (Secret Santa cousin Rich) - Aroma is floral hops, citrus, and carmel malt. Pours copper with a huge head and great lacing. Flavor is a bit bland, more malt than hops, but the hops are still there. Palate is flat and watery. This one was still drinkable but I wonder what a freshy would score...

Love the aroma and the big frothy head on this one. Amber colored somewhat cloudy. Aroma of malt mixed with wet twigs. A lot of dissappointment after that. A little watery, not much bitterness at all and not that malty sweet. Not much of a finish period.
