Nice amber colored beer with good creamy head. It has a fruity, malty aroma with a vegetal accent. It has a soft-dry flavor and it ends with a good bitterness.

Amber coloured. Thick foamy white head. Aroma is malty, caramelly with some spices. Flavour is malty and somewhat hoppy with some notes of brown sugar and dark fruits. Medium bodied.

Very nice drop. Odd cardboard driving taste through the middle. Excellent and my favourite ale.

500 mL bottle. (I don’t know that I’ve ever had a bottle conditioned bitter before, other than my own.) Hazy copper-orange with a very small head. The aroma is mild and sweetish - burnt (okay, singed) caramel and candied fruit. The flavour is surprisingly mild and the beer is thinner than I expected as well. There is some spiciness, some thin malty sweetness, and a light fruitiness. Fills out a bit near the end. Slightly bitter finish. Not that this is a bad beer by any means. It’s just that I expected something a little grander due to the bottle conditioning. I don’t know why. I’ll age a couple of these and see what happens.

A roasty bitter. Thick and creamy containing some dark chocolate notes mingled with light woody flavours. Sweetness in the finish which takes the edge off of the hearty burnished nature of the brew. Fantastic mouthfeel.

Bottle Conditioned. Poured a real brown amber colourwith a thin white head. Loads of hops, malts, and fruit in the aroma. The taste is full of flavour of malts and hops with roasted nuts which come through.

Nice traditional-style Bitter with a thin, drinkable body and lingering bitterness in the finish. Extremely clean and plain, with a hint of sourness. Good for the style. Nice caramel notes in the nose.

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained from LCBO as part of their winter warmer series. Tasted in English pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange colour with sustained white fluffy head. Aroma is very breadlike, somewhat soapy and yeasty. Flavour is nice, subtle muted. Quite nice.
