Has been seen as Royal Oak Pale Ale and Royal Oak Traditional Bitter.
Ingredients: Optic Pale, Crystal, and Torrified Wheat malts; Challenger, Northdown and Goldings hops.

Bottle. Deep amber colour with a small mostly diminishing white head. Aroma of fruit, toasty maltiness, bit of spices. The flavour is crisp with a lot of hops and malt, caramellic and fruity ending with a nice bitter finish.

A Sim rate (Cask at Planet Thanet): Aroma of spicy breadcrumbs. Parsley. Paprika. More spice. Bitter finish that is tangy and slightly citric but over all quite savoury.

Cask @ OL i Aarhus. Pours a red amber with practically no head. Aroma is oaky and earthy with a little caramel. Mouthfeel is light with low carbonation. Flavour begins sweet then some caramel and a nice bitter finish mixed in with a long oaky aftertaste. Nice!

Not as rich as i would have liked. Aroma gives berry fruits, lightly toffee malts and floural hops. Taste is similar with not as much sweetness off the malts as i would have liked.

Boring, like most English ales... Sparkling clear, light amber ale with a creamy, white head and sparse lacing. The nose is fairly nondescript with the exception of some light, grassy, floral and citrus notes. Tastes like a very typical English bitter. Pleasant, but bland. Light to medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, woodsy finish.

Bottle. Not too bad, some nutty, malty bitterness, with some light caramel. Finish quite bitter and slightly green in character, pretty decent stuff.

Bottle Conditioned, 500 ml. Orange amber with short lasting head. Full flavoured premium bitter, heavy for a traditional beer, but drinkable all the same. This is a warm fireside, keep the cold out beer, cosy chat and never mind the time. There is a fruity maltiness abounding, fleshy but subtle, and hidden hop notes, mine was aged somewhat!! Woody resinous finish giving a solid statement to a decent beer.
