Appearance: amber copper color. Great head, of ivory color, consistent, rocky and very persistent. Beautiful foam. Aroma: candied malty, medium toasty; honey, vanilla and wood touches. Sweet-fruity od read apples, peaches and pears. Good herbal-hoppy, slightly metallic. Flavor: sweet malty start, candy; sweet-fruity like peaches, apples, quince and pears; citric-dry-fruity like peel orange. Medium hoppy finish, persistent, with herby tones. Smoked and humidity wood aftertaste. Palate: light to medium body, soft and watery texture. Medium carbonation. Interesting beer, nice dryness and woody touches.

500 ml bottle - pours a muddy amber with a two-finger off-white head and sort of cinnamon circle in the middle from the yeast in the bottle. Beautiful aroma of musty earthiness, plum, kiwi and some citrus from the hops. Really nice aroma. Flavour is a good balance between yeast, lighter malts and hops, with the hops being slightly more prominent in the finish, which is mildly bitter. Overall has a real earthy quality to it, and is quite delicious. Really nice beer.

Bottle -- Rich reddy brown with large off-white head wth great retention and lacing. Aroma is sweetish and earthy with a touch of dough. Flavour to match, with even more dough -- a bit like a toasted hot cross bun! Vaguely watery mouthfeel but not enough to detract. A really great winter beer. For once, the commercial description is spot on.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a thin sticky tan head. The aroma is light and sweet with malty chocolatey notes. Flavours are light, but crisp, malty, chocolate milk taste, with a touch of hoppy, citrus grapefruit in the finish. A pretty good bitter but the fullers bitter is much better.

Bottle conditioned from the LCBO. A modest white head rests upon a dark copper body, leaving a nice lacing all the way down the glass. Sweet malts in the aroma are complimented by a hint of fresh picked raspberries. The taste was surprisingly bitter, but smooth, with pine and citrus notes from the hops complimenting the sweet malts perfectly. Wonderful long-lasting bittersweet aftertaste.

Bottle Conditioned. Poured a real brown amber colourwith a thin white head. Loads of hops, malts, and fruit in the aroma. The taste is full of flavour of malts and hops with roasted nuts which come through.

Cask - Red brown slightly hazy body with a very creamy beige head; Mellow but hoppy aroma, lemon, orange, pine as well as straight up fresh hop; Flat, fresh, soft textured, balanced bitter body; Quite long finish where bitterness grows with the length, a very little dry, orange and pine like hoppy aromas and a little sweet malt.

Bottle, 500ml. A clear dark amber colour with a small head. Good aromas of malt and plum. Taste is roasted malts, caramel, plum, peach and a little hoppiness. Moderate carbonation. A sweet, slightly acidic, lightly bitter finish. This is quite tasty.
