Hazy bronze body with a thick, fluffy, eggshell head. Fresh, lightly hopped nose. Fresh, sweet oranges, light pine, caramel, toasted grains, stale bread, light cardboard and some residual malt sweetness. Moderate body. The flavor is fairly tasty with a nice balance of sweet malt and astringent hop juice. However, at times there is a bit of plasticity that reminds me slightly the one batch of homebrew I’ve made. Tasty, but slightly off at times.

Bottled. Nut brown. Dry and dusty, deep and fruity, pleasantly hoppy and raisiny. Clean mouthfeel, bitter finish. O’Hanlon’s have made a great job in recreating this beer. It tastes more or less exactly as I remember Eldridge Pope’s version many years ago.

Bottle. Amber with a small off-white head. Aromas are sweet toffee and caramel malts. Fruity with gentle hopping. Flavours are soft malts, especially caramel, with some fruit and yeast. Slightly sour with hints of chocolate. Has light grapefruit bitterness towards the finish. A good malty beer.

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained from LCBO as part of their winter warmer series. Tasted in English pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange colour with sustained white fluffy head. Aroma is very breadlike, somewhat soapy and yeasty. Flavour is nice, subtle muted. Quite nice.

Poured with yeast - clousy dark orange with a sloppy white head. Malty, citrusy aroma. Based on that, I was expecting this to be really maltysweet, but in fact there is hardly any sweetness in the flavor. Full flavored, sturdy hop profile throughout. dusty, dry finish.

Medium amberish w/a short lived off white head of tiny bubbles! Sweet malty aroma w/an herbal hop on first sniff. Hop aroma becomes more floral as it warms and also becomes more caramelly and toasty malt. Also lightly nutty! Flavor is bitter with a nice malt back bone. Light caramel and toasty, very light roast and has a dry finish. Not terribly complex, but a nice session beer. Medium bodied w/ low carbonation, however it's sort of prickly on the tongue, otherwise fairly smooth

Nice frothy and ricly head. Great lacing with decent carbonation. Nice aromatic bitterness. Little bit of citrus to go along with the big helping of hops. Some malt also. Color is a slightly cloudy dark copper. Slightly roasty flavor and pretty well balanced. More malt than hops in the flavor. Slight metallic flavor with some mellow caramel. Finish is slightly dry a a little bitter. The hops seem to disappear once you get past the aroma. Still, a decent bitter.

Bottled. Amber and somewhat hazy with no head. A fruity toffee-aroma; raspberry(?). Flat with a fruity and citric flavour.
